This notice explains how ITried (PTY) Ltd handles personal information through this website. It covers visitors, enquiries and public tools. A separate agreement may apply when we manage a client's IT systems.

What we collect and why

• Enquiries and quotes: names, business details, email addresses, phone numbers, service requirements and messages, to respond and prepare or deliver requested services. Required fields are marked; without them we may not be able to handle the request.
• Fibre checks: the address and, if you choose the browser location option, coordinates needed to check coverage. You can enter an address without sharing your device location.
• Diagnostics: domains, public IP addresses and other inputs needed to run the tool you request. Lookups may contact DNS, registry, geolocation or blocklist providers and the public target system.
• Technical records: IP addresses, request times, browser information, errors and security events used to run the website and prevent abuse.
• Optional services: usage measurements, embedded maps, reviews and chat only as described in the cookie policy and according to your settings.

We process information to respond to requests, take steps towards or fulfil an agreement, meet legal duties and protect the legitimate interests of the site and its users. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Sending an enquiry authorises a response to that enquiry; it is not a signup for unrelated marketing.

Tools and chat

Password generation and the initial email-header analysis run in your browser. The optional live email check sends extracted domains, IP addresses and DKIM selectors to our server. Submitted header text may contain other people's information: remove anything unnecessary before using a tool. Some lookup inputs appear in the page URL and may remain in browser history or hosting logs.

The optional ITried chat uses our CRM service. If you start a chat, the messages and contact details you provide are sent to that service. A browser token can reconnect you to the conversation. Chat is not required: you can use the contact form, email or phone instead.

Who receives information

Enquiries may be stored in our website database or CRM and sent to our team by email. Hosting, email and CRM providers process information needed to support these services. We may share relevant requirements with a connectivity, domain or licensing supplier to fulfil your request, or disclose information when lawfully required.

Optional Google Analytics, Google Maps and Elfsight reviews receive data when you enable and use them. Providers and diagnostic services may process information outside South Africa. Cross-border processing must have a lawful basis and appropriate protection; contact us for details of the arrangements relevant to your request.

Retention and protection

We retain information for the purpose for which it was collected and any applicable legal, accounting, security or dispute requirements. The period depends on the record and whether you become a client. Contact us about the retention or deletion of a specific enquiry, chat or account record. Deleting browser storage does not delete information already received by us or a provider.

We use access controls and technical safeguards, but no website or communication method can guarantee complete security. Do not submit passwords or unnecessary sensitive information through this website.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to your personal information, ask for correction or deletion where applicable, object to certain processing or withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity and retain records where a lawful obligation requires it. Contact our privacy contact below. Website cookie preferences can be changed at any time through .

You may also raise a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator. Other applicable privacy rights remain available to visitors outside South Africa. This website is intended for business services, not for collecting personal information from children.
